Jessica Badger is the co-owner of Black Badger Events and has more than 15 years of event and communications experience. She started her career working for the US Government, working in public relations for the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS). During her tenure with HHS, she planned more than 40 press conferences for the Secretary of HHS and US Surgeon General Richard Carmona. These amazing leaders helped her learn to problem-solve in the moment and how to staff top executives and government officials. She went on to work on the Advance Team for President George W. Bush, and then worked at the American Beverage Association, where she not only worked in the public relations shop, but planned tradeshow outreach for the association. She was also on the planning team for InterBev, the largest international trade show for the beverage industry. She founded Black Badger Events during her 10-year career with United Way, when her and her partner Lauren Black saw a need for events planned with a focus on the attendee experience. Since founding Black Badger, she has planned corporate conferences, private and non-profit events, and the occasional wedding in cities across the country. From dinner parties for 10 to fundraisers for 10,000, Jessica and Black Badger Events always have a keen sense of what attendees are looking for – all while holding and honoring the necessary outcomes of the planning team.
